Oregon Trailblazer Rally Results

Update: The team of Larry LeFebvre and Brandon Harer swept the field under the rug with their win of the Nov. 18 Oregon Trailblazer Rally aka the Beaver Cleaver. Link to results below.

And now for something completely different. The Oregon Trailblazer Rally is a thought-provoking diversion on scenic country roads. This tricky TSD rally is designed to challenge driving and navigational skills. Expect tricks and traps.

The approximately 110-mile rally route is mostly paved, with some short gravel sections. This technically challenging rally includes a few TSD regularity legs. But the real fun is in the free zones where no speeds or pauses are specified. On and off course route controls record your progress. All teams get back on the same route at restart locations. Familiarity with main road rules will be helpful.

Not sure you’re up to a tricky rally? There’s no better way to learn than to jump in and swim. This rally is designed to get you back on course if you fall prey to a planned bit of trickery. All will be explained in the end.

Rally School  - Start the season with a virtual review of TSD road rally rules and procedures on Friday evening. Then run a practice road rally on Saturday morning to test your driving skills and navigational knowledge.

Saturday Rally Series - Compete for Series awards. Best five of six finishes count toward Series points.  To be eligible to win a season award, run at least three Series events.

Mountains to the Sea - Enjoy a full-day tour-style rally, following a fun to drive scenic route, starting in Portland and ending at the Pacific Ocean (perhaps Newport).

Ghouls Gambol - The Ghouls Gambol Rally is a fun drive on scenic country roads, through autumn-colored countryside. This easy time-speed-distance road rally takes about three hours to complete, including a mid-rally break. Expect treats and maybe a trick or two, for it is a fun Halloween outing after all. Prizes for top rally finishers and best decorated cars.

Oregon Trailblazer - In 2023 we welcome the return of an occasional Cascade tradition - a tricky TSD rally that challenges your team's driving and navigational skills. Expect tricks and traps. (The last Oregon Trailblazer Rally was in 2006).
